MiLaysia Fulwiley, the 2025 SEC Sixth Player of the Year, announced on Friday that she was transferring to conference rival LSU.

Fulwiley spent the past two seasons playing for Dawn Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks.

The 5-foot-10 guard averaged 11.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 18.9 minutes per game last year.

On Monday, Fulwiley quietly reposted a 2025 Team USA 3×3 development camp graphic featuring herself alongside LSU guard Mikaylah Williams on her Instagram story.

Fulwiley reacted to the post with a pair of grinning emojis, “😁😁”.

Fulwiley landed in Baton Rouge as one of the most coveted names in the portal.

Williams, a Louisiana native, has some pretty nice credentials of her own.

She earned SEC All-Freshman Team honors in 2024, First-Team All-SEC honors in 2025 and was a three-time FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cup MVP.

Williams was also named USA Basketball 3×3 Athlete of the Year in 2022 and 3×3 Female Athlete of the Year in 2023.

She’s spent the past two seasons playing for Kim Mulkey and the Tigers, averaging 17.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game in the 2024-25 season.

Together, Williams and Fulwiley form a backcourt duo poised to carry LSU beyond its 2024–25 Elite Eight finish

LSU went 31–6 (12–4 SEC) last year, reached the SEC tournament final, and finished No. 8 in the AP Top 25.

The Tigers defeated San Diego State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Florida State in the second round, and NC State in the Sweet Sixteen, only to be halted by UCLA in the Elite Eight.
