She knows where she wants to lead the Indiana Fever this year, and that’s to a championship.

Clark spoke to the media on Thursday afternoon, reiterating the point.

After being swept out of the first round in her rookie season, Clark said this year’s group is nothing like last year’s, pointing to the influx of veterans acquired in the offseason.

“The main thing we were lacking last year was experience,” Clark said.

“Adding really great vets like [Bonner] and Syd [Colson] and Tash [Howard] and putting that experience around us of not just being in this league but also winning.

“They have the championship pedigree.”

It’s not only the experience and pedigree that Clark has seen ooze from this Indiana team, but also everyone’s selflessness.

That’s the one word she used to describe the main difference between 2024 and heading into 2025.

“You can’t compare the two,” Clark said.

“It’s two completely different teams. So far, I think everybody has been very selfless.”

With the veteran additions of DeWanna Bonner, Natasha Howard and Sophie Cunningham, the Fever are primed to make a deep postseason run and be taken seriously as championship contenders.

Last season, Clark was just getting her feet wet.

Getting a feel for the league.

And yet she still made All-WNBA First-Team and led the league in assists.

That should terrify the rest of the league.

Now she is equipped with a more talented supporting cast and new head coach in Stephanie White who will look to utilize Clark’s skillset to the best of her ability.

At the Fever’s media day, Clark spoke about how grateful she was to be a part of the Indiana franchise.

“How lucky are we to have such a good roster and so many people that wanted to be a part of something bigger than themselves,” Clark said.

“I’m just really excited. I’m lucky to be here and to have been drafted here last year and for this franchise to put so many great resources in front of us.

“Really just fortunate and excited for our roster.”

Clark can thank the franchise and city she has so much admiration for by bringing home a championship. Simple as that.
