Residents of Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia, are reeling from the unsettling account of a young pregnant woman who reported discovering a mysterious, bloody handprint on her stomach after slapping a spirit in her dream.

During an interview with Liberian journalist Donso Sheriff on Thursday, the young woman recounted her harrowing experience, revealing that three nights prior, she had a terrifying dream in which an unknown woman sought to take her unborn baby.

In a desperate effort to defend herself, she struck the strange figure in the dream, only to awaken to a nightmarish sight.

Fearing for her safety, her family quickly transported her to the nearest clinic.

Although medical practitioners have yet to offer a scientific explanation for this occurrence, many residents have drawn the conclusion that it was, in fact, a spiritual attack.

This bewildering incident raises questions about the intersections of belief and reality within the community.

“When I opened my eyes, my stomach was burning. When I looked down, there was a red handprint on my belly… and it was bleeding,” she recounted, her voice shaking,” she said.
