Laura’s day and routines

Her day begins early, waking at 6 a.m. to prepare breakfast for her two sons, Nikolai, 14, and Dmitri, 16. She ensures her boys start the day with a hearty meal before heading off to school. Meanwhile, her eldest daughter, Maria, 19, is currently away at college.

After her morning duties at home, Ingraham carves out time for herself with a workout session. She’s a regular at Orangetheory, a boutique fitness studio known for its high-energy circuit training classes. With memberships starting at $129 a month, it’s a commitment that keeps her both physically and mentally sharp, setting the tone for the rest of her busy day.

“I’m not a great sleeper,” she admits, “but for me, exercise is the absolute key. I’ve always been athletic. Back in high school, I was voted class athlete by my entire class.” Staying active remains an absolute priority.”

Her commitment to health extends beyond exercise. Ingraham keeps hydrated, avoids alcohol during the week, and enjoys the occasional margarita.

Laura Ingraham at Work

Known for her hands-on approach, she writes much of her opening monologue and other key segments herself, with her editorial team providing edits. By 6 p.m., she’s in the studio for hair and makeup, preparing for her 7 p.m. live broadcast. “For me, less is more, but you have to wear makeup on TV or you look pretty bad,” she shares.

Despite her reported salary of over $10 million a year, Ingraham keeps things down-to-earth, even making her own lunch. After her show, she wraps up with a brief post-production call before heading home, preferring quiet family time to social events.

Ingraham, who adopted her children—two boys from Russia and a girl from Guatemala—credits her family for much of her happiness. “We have a very unusual family, and it’s not perfect, we have our moments, but it’s been a beautiful blessing to me.”
