Julian Reese helped the No. 4 seed Maryland Terrapins make the Sweet 16 for the first time since the 2015-16 season, and he would have the support of his sister, Angel Reese, in the following round.

The team took on the No. 1 seed Florida Gators on Thursday night.

Ahead of the game at Chase Center in San Francisco, California, the Chicago Sky forward, Julian’s sister, made her way to the Bay Area after a successful stint in Unrivaled, where her team won the championship.

Maryland Men’s Basketball posted on X that featured Angel Reese’s outfit for the Sweet 16 game.

The former LSU Tigers national champion, who previously played for Maryland, donned a custom leather jacket that read “JUJU SISTER” in big lettering.

Reese, born and raised in Baltimore, was also holding a black Under Armour shirt that read “I’M FROM BALTIMORE,” a quote from star freshman Derik Queen that went viral after his buzzer-beater in the previous round.

“Proud big sister! Proud to be from Baltimore!” Maryland wrote on X.

Angel Reese’s Support Wasn’t Enough To Help Maryland

Angel Reese was rooting for her brother Julian Reese and the Maryland men’s basketball team to make it to the Elite Eight of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

The Terrapins shared photos of Reese wearing a custom t-shirt featuring the phrase “JUJU SISTER” before Maryland’s Thursday night matchup.

Julian Reese has been a key part of Maryland’s ascendance to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2016.

Unfortunately, they could’ve used Angel on the floor.

Julian Reese and the Maryland Terrapins fell 87-71 to Florida during March Madness’ Sweet 16 game.
