Coach Stephanie White is cooking up something special in Indiana, and Caitlin Clark of the WNBA Indiana Fever is at the center of it. While some players are more focused on posting choreographed workouts for likes—yes, we’re looking at you, Angel Reese of the WNBA Chicago Sky – White is focused on turning Clark into an unscoutable, unstoppable force.

Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White is the guest speaker at the 2024-25 Indiana High School Sports Awards, Presented by the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever.

The live event, which celebrates athletes from across the state, is Sunday, April 27 at Clowes Memorial Hall at Butler University. Doors open at 4 p.m. with the show beginning at 5 p.m.

White went to Seeger High School in Indiana and graduated in 1995. She then attended Purdue University for four years before being drafted by the WNBA’s Charlotte Sting in the second round of the 1999 draft.

White played her rookie year in Charlotte, before being acquired before the next season in the expansion draft by the Fever, where she played until 2004. Since then, she has made various stops on the coaching trail, including as head coach with the Fever in 2015 and 2016, reaching the WNBA Finals in her first season, at Vanderbilt from 2016-21, as head coach of the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun in 2023-24, and now back with the Fever.

“I’m excited to be the speaker at the Indiana High School Sports Awards event,” White said. “As a former Indiana High School athlete, I’m honored to celebrate with these outstanding young women and men and to recognize all they have accomplished. This program does a fantastic job highlighting high school athletics in this state, and I’m looking forward to getting a chance to interact with these incredible athletes. It’s going to be a fun night.”
