Caitlin Clark’s Teammate Sends Clear Message to Brittney Griner After Fever Game

The Indiana Fever added several new weapons to the roster ahead of Caitlin Clark’s second season in the WNBA.

A couple of the biggest stars the Fever acquired during the offseason were DeWanna Bonner, Sophie Cunningham, Natasha Howard, Jaelyn Brown, Sydney Colson and Brianna Turner.

Indiana also added Makayla Timpson via the 2025 WNBA Draft.

Cunningham, who made the move from the Phoenix Mercury, has been vocal on her joyful attitude after joining Clark and the Fever.

After a game against the Atlanta Dream on Saturday, Cunningham sent a message to her former teammate, Brittney Griner, as both players enter new stages in their WNBA careers.

“Former Mercury teammates Sophie Cunningham and Brittney Griner chatting it up just like old times,” posted Ball Don’t Lie.

Cunningham then shared a response for Griner.

“I miss this dingus but we are both very happy now!!” Cunningham said.

Brittney Griner finished the game after playing just two minutes. The Atlanta Dream chose to bench their star, giving the WNBA star a rest period before the season begins.

Cunningham finished the game with five points, two rebounds and one assist.

The Fever won the game, 81-76, over the Dream. Lexie Hull led Indiana in scoring with 14, while Caitlin Clark recorded 13 points, six rebounds and seven assists.
